Blake O’Connor

It’s no coincidence that Blake O’Connor had one of the best selling albums at two of Australia’s biggest country music festivals. His music is often described as incorporating the outlaw country of Chris Stapleton, the blues of Tedeschi Trucks Band with the melodic soft rock of John Mayer. His shows are not to be missed!

As a two time 2020 CMAA Award (Country Music Association of Australia) nominee, Blake won the prestigious Qantas New Talent of the Year Award. He was also nominated for Male Artist of the Year up against international star Morgan Evans.

Soon after winning Australia’s most recognised country music competition Toyota Star Maker in 2019 (previously won by Keith Urban) Blake released his debut album ‘Everything I Feel’ resulting in a #1 on the ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) Chart.

Blake took his music internationally that same year, as an official CMA Fest artist in Nashville TN. There, he played multiple shows including a packed-out show at the world famous Bluebird Cafe. Blake has also played in the U.K, having a massive response after performing in the lineup for Buckle & Boots Festival in Manchester.

Blake has toured and played shows with US acts Tim McGraw, Lee Brice, Charles Eston, Home Free and Earl Bud Lee, and Australian Royalty John Farnham, Diesel and Russel Morris.

Australia’s #1 Radio station 2GB host, Ray Hadley. was blown away by a recent in-studio performance and said; “Based on that performance, you’ll never have to work a day in your life. Absolutely sensational.”

Using his time during 2020 to write and record his newest material with Grammy winning producer Nick DiDia (Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Pearl Jam). Blake released his singles WILLIN’ AND READY, SOUL FEELING and KICKIN’ A ROCK throughout 2021, seeing chart topping success on CMT Australia just a few short weeks after they were released.
